Welcome to Wei Ao’s Homepage

I am a Ph.D. student in CSE at MSU under the supervision of Prof. Vishnu Boddeti in HAL Lab. My research focuses on secure machine learning (Secure/Private ML) and automated machine learning (AutoML) and their applications, like face recognition and neural architecture search (NAS). I am working on an end-to-end secure inference system to protect private data under fully homomorphic encryption (FHE). The design of such a secure system is automated by AutoML, especially multi-objective optimization. Before joining MSU, I obtained my Master’s degree from Fudan University in 2019 where I worked on image processing and target detection. I published papers in USENIX Security Symposium, NeurIPS, GECCO, IEEE TIP.
